Pagani Zonda Tricolore a tribute to the National Aerobatic Team

On the occasion of the celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the 'Frecce Tricolori', Pagani Automobili created the Pagani Zonda Tricolore a tribute to the National Aerobatic Team. The design honors the Italian air force aerobatics team, known as the Frecce Tricolori.

Like most Paganis, the Zonda Tricolore is built mostly out of titanium, magnesium, and carbon fiber, and its blue and gray carbon-fiber body panels, with red, white, and green stripes running up the hood, pay homage to the Frecce Tricolori's Aermacchi MB-339-A/PAN aircraft and the Italian flag. The coolest touches, however, are the Zonda Tricolore's bright-gold 19-inch front and 20-inch rear wheels, as well as the spacey, green-tinted canopy, which offers quite the view of the gleaming blue-and-white interior.

This exquisite piece of work is powered by a Mercedes Benz AMG 7.3-liter V-12 engine that delivers 670 horsepower and has a torque of 780 Nm. Pagani spared no expense in building the car. The body is mostly built of titanium, carbon fiber and magnesium, and is painted navy blue with red, green and white stripes running down the hood.

It also boasts of a six-speed sequential gearbox by Cima which is robotized by Automac engineering, and carbo-ceramic self-ventilated brakes by Brembo. The 2010 Pagani Zonda Tricolore's wheels and interior are both an impressive sight, with the former painted bright gold and the latter a cool green.
